Connecting innovative companies with the right investors and strategic partners is an important part of turning local success into international growth.
Earlier this month, our APAC CEO, Diana Kam, attended G-SUMMIT 2026 in Suwon, South Korea, joining founders, investors and corporate leaders for two days of discussions, networking and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
Bringing together 162 startups, the summit highlighted South Korea’s dynamic innovation ecosystem, with companies working across artificial intelligence, semiconductors, robotics, healthcare, climate technology, mobility and other emerging sectors.
One particularly interesting theme was the intersection of technological innovation and the investment needed to support it. Discussions explored the rise of physical AI, the growing energy demands of AI infrastructure, and where global capital is flowing to support the next generation of technologies. The programme also brought valuable perspectives on what investors look for in scaling businesses and how partnerships with established corporations can help startups expand into international markets.
Beyond the discussions, G-SUMMIT placed a strong emphasis on creating tangible opportunities for growth. With 480 pre-arranged one-to-one investment meetings and participation from 39 international investors, including Yield Capital, Lakestar, SBI Investment, Gobi Partners, Living Lab Ventures, and Supernode Global, the summit provided a platform for founders to engage directly with potential investors and strategic partners.
For Venturebeam, events like G-SUMMIT are a valuable opportunity to engage with Asia’s evolving investment landscape and strengthen connections across international markets. Supporting ambitious companies as they scale requires more than access to growth capital. It also calls for stronger cross-border investor networks, deeper institutional participation and more efficient private markets that can support businesses throughout their growth journey.
A huge congratulations and thank you to the G-SUMMIT organisers, especially James Jung for bringing together such an exciting community of entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders, and for creating opportunities for meaningful connections and collaboration.
